I know there are loads of Academies which encourage players from the UK to join dotted around SA and Oz/NZ offering programme of intense cricket coaching coupled with accommodation etc.
Is there a similar kind of set up in India/Pakistan, Ind preferably.
Or is it more a case of getting a club somewhere and taking a chance?

I had the chance of meeting an Ex Indian player [10 one day internationals] who was running a similar academy couple of years ago. I know he is now heavily involved in commentary etc. but if you are interested I can try and get a contact.

what are the prices for these sorts of things?

Quite cheap in Pakistan compared to West and after conversion of currency. However, once they find out you're an expatriate then they try to charge you more.

Have to agree with above. It will be down to your negotiation skills and what you can do for them. For example it didn't cost my mate much who is in US but in exchange he arranged for some American sponsors and a tour for them.

There is a good one in Bangalore - see www.kioc.net (http://www.kioc.net)

Had a look at that, looks like its well organised!
Are there any in Pakistan with websites for UK users?
-
Pm me mate - I know quite a few out in the subcontinent!

Finding the SNCL tough going?

Haha! It's good cricket, haven't had any major scores but settling in and feeling good, matter of time! Finding it difficult to only rely on my batting and not have the gloves to back it up.
Just curious as to whats out there for the off season since I can't commit to a huge trip like my last one!

Yeah, tough opening the batting at this time of year in Scotland too. Who's keeping at Aberdeen these days?
Unfortunately the Doggies are struggling a bit this year - not unsurprisingly having lost 4-5 key players - but they've managed to at least remain competative it would seem.

Mannofield has been really slow and low, bit of a turner actually! Different to expected!
Kenny Reid is first choice currently.
Yeah I saw Edwards jumped ship, is it Gelderbloom you've got over as Pro?

Yeah, and a young Kiwi OSA.
Having lost Rees, Edwards, Anderson, McGhee etc recently I thought they might end up real whipping boys in the premier, but a few lads have upped their game and they've come close on 2-3 occasions, maybe just need to get over the line once.
Might still try and sneak a game when I'm back in a few weeks time.
