What do you do to fix them, oil? sand? fibre glass tape?

sand them with a couple of grades and then give them a coat of oil. unless its actually split the willow and its in an area where you could cause more damage (edge near the back of the blade) then no tape should be needed unless you want to cover them up.

Put a bit of water onto the dent and it will cause the wood to expand making the dent smaller, then sand and oil :)
