Hi guys, recently bought a Salix Torque players bat and I am not sure whether I should put a scuff sheet on it or not.
Thanks.

Defo put a sheet on it will make it last longer
-
Depends what scuff sheet you put on.
-
personally i always scuff. gives that extra protection to the blade during its early stages. i remember reading somewhere that one bat maker recommended fitting a scuff sheet for the first year to add that extra protection but felt it was ok to remove and leave off if cleaned up and oilled properly after that year.

Hammer edge all the way!!!!!!!!!!!

Can't stand the stuff

I fitted a Readers Tuff-Tec that seems decent enough and similar to the Hammer Edge. Haven't tried the bat yet though.

Cant stand it..but does provide some protection especially when you are not sure whether you have knocked in enough...

It's a tricky one and totally subjective.
If you want to keep the bat for a while then you'll need to put one on.
If you are happy to let it wear out and bu another bat sooner, leave it off.
Salix bats are finished so beautifully so long as it's knocked it you'll be fine.
