Inside story is that he just wanted somewhere to play and Minehead had done a lot for his benefit, and is quite friendly with some of the lads out there.

Pretty much correct there Nick! He actually approached us and asked if he could play, and we said we'd squeeze him in somewhere! ;)

Great signing that Ian. I did my level 2 with him and hes a nice guy. Never scored many runs when I played against him when he was playing for Taunton a couple of years ago but sure he will go well for you guys and will help you push for Premier 1.

And you will be opening with him !

Hopefully he'll do well, a player of his class can only do us good!

And word on the street is he'll be batting 3, me and the other opener are both averaging 40 odd at a good pace so we're continuing with that I think! But we'll find out tomorow :)

Really? He went for the most runs and only took 2 wickets. Admittedly a better day than arul but nevertheless.

I'd go as far as saying that the ball Gemaal bowled me yesterday was the best I've ever faced! Not sure how fast he bowls but would imagine it to be around 75-80mph, ball started on middle swung away, took my outside edge and 2nd slip did the rest!

Arul struggled a tad, but hopefully he'll come good next week!
