It's good to see Essex doing the county proud today. All out for 20 against Lancashire!

I look forward to seeing the likes of Anderson and Swann at the ECG in a few weeks for their Ashes warm up game!

Well batted Hamish lol

Is this the same team that smashed Scotland and Surrey for 300+ in 40 overs recently? Kerrigan must be chuffed. For a number 11 to outscore the entire Essex team to some feat.

I can only assume the ball was either swinging or doing something pretty nasty.

or maybe not according to cricinfo -

Essex registered the lowest score in their history in falling to a heavy defeat on an astonishing afternoon at Chelmsford. Kyle Hogg and Glen Chapple ripped through them in the space of 14 overs and 68 minutes on a flat pitch, and the procession of batsmen entering and leaving the field was almost bewildering.

It was as if a collective panic possessed Essex, and the sense of shock in the crowd was palpable. Three of the wickets were due to errors by batsmen, the rest were the result of dead straight bowling. The whole business was particularly puzzling as Hogg and Chapple had themselves scored 58 and 50 respectively earlier in the day.

Too many easy cheap wickets and cheap runs to be had in the CC - nothing ever changes.
