Title: Ranson / Champ / Protos
Post by: stevat on June 18, 2013, 11:08:12 PM
Evening/morning all,  anyone had a go with a bat from Ranson, Champ or Protos (FC Sondhi)?

Just wondering how they stack up?

Are people allowed to say which brands they make for?  Ask purely out of personal interest and curiosity if someone is happy to share via PM rather than letting the whole Interweb know.

Thanks

Ranson and Protos I don't know much about only that Protos is Sondhi's brand.

Any Champ bat I have had has been very good but bat labels and finish can be rough but if you have had a look at Mohit's factory you would understand why??

Think I may have seen a few pictures of it, still amazing to see the calibre of finish produced.

Ranson or Protos anyone?  What about some of the other more rare Indian/Pakistani brands/smaller manufacturers?

Three minutes into that video will give you a slight hint as to Vitas' suggestion!

They do, so I guess you'd have to describe them as a large operation, but with a smaller own brand (small outside of India at least).

Not had a Slaz since I was 18, how do they go nowadays?

I heard they make the lower end Pumas and Reebok and New Balance stuff too.

They've some nice shapes on their own Protos range though.
