Title: Club kit suppliers
Post by: iand123 on June 19, 2013, 02:19:01 PM
I was wondering who everyones club's use to provide club kit? We've moved at the start of this season to a pretty big supplier (they provide several counties) and its been a nightmare. Poor embroidery, wrong colours of kit, several miscommunications over delivery, missing parts of orders - pretty poor if you ask me! The quality of the kit is great but for the price we've paid i would expect that

Also wondered if you have one person who does all of this or do you use a supplier who has an online shop?

We use allrounder cricket(at headingley)

Good set up, they have our club crest and sponsor logo. And have set up a online shop. So individuals can order what they want when they want.

Unfortunately not plain sailing, as we have had a few issues with our crest, and some turning up with sponsors logo,

Gear is Adidas, and very high quality though.

We do our own range of totally bespoke playing kit, we have a club shop on our website for a large premier league club. We use sublimation, meaning one price, no matter what design you go for, how many logos, crests, names/numbers etc you want on the shirt, as no stitching/printing is involved.

We also offer off the shelf options from Hunts, Nike, Kookaburra, GM and Gray Nics (printing and embroidery) as well as bespoke options from gray nics too.

we picked said supplier because they are pretty big and the quality was good. the service has been abysmal and they give the impression they dont know what they are doing. How they service counties with this service is beyond me!

Problem is we dont want to be chopping and changing every year, we are a big club (6 saturday sides, 3 sunday sides and over 100 colts) so we need a solution that fits everybody for a decent amount of time

At a guess i'm gonna say MKK. We have picked up 5 clubs this year who have all been messed around by MKK.

We use http://kalibazar.co.uk/. (http://kalibazar.co.uk/.)

Embroidery is very good & prices are reasonable. Also, the online shop saves you from having to place large bulk orders & the hassle of collecting money from players.

we used kukri last season, quality is excellent and prices reasonable and bespoke design / colours for shirts and whites

they set up a club shop for us but insisted on minimum orders and there were huge lead times from order to delivery

can the likes of kalibazar offer the same service but without the minimum orders? if so we'll set something up with them for next season

We have just set up a shop with Kukri using their team shop builder. Few minor issues with the set-up but local sales support very helpful and decent turnaround time so far with no minimum order quantity which is a bonus for us.

We used cotton traders for the past two years but have since moved to an Indian supplier and they're rubbish quality!
Glad my cotton traders stuff still fits as that's fantastic stuff!

We use Surridge through CJI Clothing. They do all the embroidery and printing in store.

Viper cricket is thinking of entering the cricket clothing market. We are trying to source some quality clothing, not like the awful polyester items in sports direct. I used to love a good old soft cotton cricket shirt.

kukri kit is always late and sizing is always wrong! We ordered playing shirts for our university team, and a large at 44'' chest came out at 48''!!! We checked the rest of the shirts and everyone was 4'' too big!!!!!

Our club has recently gone to DMS Sports. There was some issues to begin with, where the kit took a while to get to us but from the looks of it I'm happy with it anyway! I personally think Surridge is a bit over priced.

Our DMS gear was very good - pretty good experience all round. Kit has turned out very nice.
