Our overseas has one, bought straight from the man himself, out of his car boot one day ;D. Had a few hits with it, thought it sounded a bit different but boy did it have amazing grains and didn't half ping! :o

Hi all,

I just got a Pro Series 3 from Julian this week.  Its awesome and you can feel the ping just from knocking up.

Here are some pics:

Hi all, sorry not been online much.

Its 2lb 12oz and I paid £300 for the bat, pro pads, pro gloves and delivered to the UK so not a bad deal from Julian.

It has a slightly heavier pick up to other similar weight bats I have used but I prefer it that way.

This was the profile requested by Langer as he wanted to 'feel' the bat a bit more apparently.  I think if you are after very light pick up then the Series 1 would be better.

I have used bats up to 3lb in the past so this feels quite light to me.

The bat looks fantastic. Not to mention the great deal you got.

I got a series 1 from Julian and it is amazing bat. Actually it was a cross between the series 1 and 3. The pick-up is unbelievable for a 2.11 bat and the ping is phenominal.

Did you ask Julian to put a anti scuff on the bat? It is top quality one. Way better than the ones we get off-the shelf here

Looks really good from what I can see. Have you used it yet?

Yes I always use the anti scuff sheets and got Julian to put one on for me.  I used to get mine from Middlepeg.com as they just got the stuff straight from the manufacturer (it was used to protect helicopter blades!) but Middlepeg have gone under by the looks of things!

I haven't used the bat as yet, we will start netting in December so I will hopefully get it knocked in by then and give it a whirl!  Will give some feedback then too.

Chris Easby uses this helicopter blade protection on his CE cricket bats

How much does that cost for one bat then?

I think lots of companies use the helicopter stuff or a variety of it.

It's called Polyurethane Protective tape, it's also used on Bikes.

Many different types of anti scuff are used to protect helicopter blades but i find one of the best ones is by a company called paradis ? spelling may be wrong though.

Paradis Novo I think you mean Rich.  Might prove a problem getting direct from them though, they are very strict with who they deal with.
