Hi,
Basically my second toe, gets very painful when I bowl.
I wear asics gel speed menace boots.
What should I do?
-
Sounds like your shoes are not fitting properly. Have you tried thick socks or multiple pairs of socks?
-
Get new shoes??
Cut a hole in your current shoes??
Amputate that toe??
-
Are you getting just a pain or is there any burns? you can try some broad and flexible shoes than the ones you currently use. May be something without the protection layer in the front of toes while bowling or fielding can also solve the issue.

the fact its your second toe could suggests maybe your toes are pressing together, which may be a sizing issue, the asics are a wide fit though. if you have a long second toe it could also mean your foot is sliding too far. a way to fix the sliding is to lace your boots differently, i'll try to explain but its one of those things that are much easy to show. make a loop using the last two lace holes on each side of the shoe then feed the lace across through the opposite hoops as you pull the laces down they will "lock" preventing your foot from sliding forward. you then just do a normal lace tie.

most fast bowlers get this, they cut a hole where there middle toe is and its fine, never tried it but pros swear by it

Cut your toenails

I second the advice about cutting your toenails, the third toe one my left foot used to bleed every time i bowl till i realised this was the problem
