Lovely sticks, not like the stickers though !!!
-
I can always remove them if you prefer?
We bought out a green range as not everyone can rock a pink bat.
The orange bats are a limited run and a very different shape.
Toying with a very limited edition grade 1 called the Lion King, with gold/yellow and white/silver graphics. Hopefully Disney won't sue us ;)
-
are they all with a lot of concaving?
-
They are indeed.
Pressed beautifully though, the ball pings off to all parts of the ground. I use one (with pink stickers applied) in midweek games as they are the lighter bats in our range (as a general trend, we do have some heavier ones, most are 2'8/2'9) I find them ideal for fast bat speed in T20 cricket
The original demo of the Lion Pride was the best bat in the demo range we have for people to try in the bowling machine. We loaned it to a team-mate who's nickname is 'the bat-breaker' for the weekend whilst his was being repaired. He hit 3 massive sixes with ease and then snapped it in half. It had faced thousands of bowling machine deliveries as well, so is not a reflection on the reliability of our bats.

Surely it should be called "Simba"....

Mufassa!

very nice looking bats mate, i think with a re-design of the stickers etc you could really have a winning brand. You should look to name the bats after your brand and then match them with the gloves and pads mate. Some classy looking stickers and i reckon you will be onto a winner
-
You know what? - You should do a joker T20 style bat and call it the 'Roary' - gedditt?
-
Lion Custard would be a great name too.
Lovely looking sticks. I like the stickers too, unfussy and different. They made in the UK?
-
Enjoying the name suggestions, a new model will be something for next year, all suggestions welcome.
They are not all UK made, we are moving to a UK bat-maker at the moment, some Lion bats still in stock are Asian made.
We are not moving supplier because of inferior quality products though, we are moving as it is easier to deal with someone here in the UK, and current conditions mean UK bat making is not too restrictive in terms of price.
My Lion Roar is not UK made, she's an absolute flyer. Got 35 retired (stupid rule) last night off 3 and a bit overs.

are all the bats same profile but different grade willow?

The Lion Roar, Pride and Flame are the same willow, but 3 different shapes. There isn't much between the Roar and Pride except the Roar is generally bigger and a bit heavier. The Flame has far less concaving and a higher middle, but weights start at 2'12.
We have a few Lion Pro's which are grade 1. They are an experimental run to see how a more expensive model would fare, they have been pretty popular.

on face value, the pro looks a beaut and my kinda bat. Grainy and a fair chunk of heartwood! costings?

£195, happy to extend the same 10% off offer onto the other Lion models. Some have heartwood, some don't, most of them have lots of grains. We only have 4 left.
Free delivery too.

Weights from left to right as pictured are 2'12 - 2'10 - 2'8 - 2'11
-
Just my luck! The piece of wood that gave me wood ( the 2.12 on the left). Is way to heavy! It's the perfect heartwood/sapwood ratio in my eyes! And on the outside edge too!
Very ricochet-esque in profile. I like a lot!

Keep your eye out for a new model (maybe Lion King) towards the end of the calendar year mate. Similar price i imagine.
What weight are you looking at?

About 2-7/2-8 ish. But depends on pick up, I'm not small but like a light bat I can get bat speed with. If only you could request half blade heartwood! Life be so much easier! Hahah. (Not you request, just anyone to shavers in general)

The higher middles help them pick up lighter. I'm not going to claim they are some sort of miracle bat where a 2'12 will feel 2'7, but you may want to consider the 2'10, lovely pickup and i would happily use it, normally my bats are 2'8/2'9.
-
I'd have to feel it first jake, before committing to it
-
Little bit of a trek for you to Peterborough i'm imagining?
Happy to bring it to the H4L game if you are playing in it?
-
Where's that and when?? I would be interested in playing if I can get time off work

August 15th from memory. I think the side has been selected already by Nick Saunders, there may be some dropouts though. There was quite a lengthy topic about it somewhere, 10+ pages. But i can't find it now.
-
That's a Thursday? I'm available, it depends on its location though

Found the topic.

I came in very late but made the cut, either I bribed the selectors or many of the people who said yes initially later retracted their availability.

Love the bats lads! Definitely my next purchase I reckon!
