wanted to know everyones opinions on what are the best spikes on the market at the moment
-
Asics Gel Advance 4 if you are a batsman/all-rounder.
I'm no bowler so can't comment properly on bowling shoes. The Speed Menace from Asics is popular, many people like the Adidas Bowling shoes too though.
In a few months when the Nike Lunar Dominate and Accelerate's are released to the masses they will be the best shoes in my book. Mine are fantastic and easily the best spikes I've ever worn. My Asics 200 Not Outs and Adidas SL22's have been put into storage for a while!

whats your opinion on the adidas howzat fs
-
Not seen them in the flesh. Can't see them being market leading at the price.
-
are the new nike going to be a all round shoe or more of a bowling shoe
-
Dominates are all round/batting shoes.

Accelerates are bowing shoes with a support strap.

what are these likely to be priced at
-
No firm indications from suppliers yet, available overseas for approx £90-£100. This is in line with most other top end shoes, the Gel Advance 4 for example is £95.
-
I want these
-
I have this years Puma Pulse and I am surprised how much more comfier they are to wear with better protection over the adidas 22yard lites I have also.
-
Asics Speed menace are brilliant as an all round shoe, not just for bowling.
-
Jake, How would you rate the new strike rates?
-
I like the strike rates personally, as close to a trainer level of comfort as you can get (aside from the new nikes, seriously, different level)
Some people are flummoxed by the pins/blanks, also the half spike only option is a little limiting, but it is marketed as a batting shoe.

I've got Gel advance 4s absolutely love them! So comfy to move around in!

Spiked trainers, sorted.
