Title: The BUCK is back!

Finally the Australian selectors have picked on form over reputation. Chris Rogers will open for Australia in the first ASHES test. As an Aussie I'm naturally thrilled. Hard work and loads of Shield and County runs have finally paid off.

Agree totally! He is the right man for the job and with Watson opening with him, gives Aus a much better base than we were looking at a few weeks ago. Boof Lehman has transformed a batting line-up that was looking fragile and had Anderson licking his lips! Smart move bringing Warner in lower in the order also! Boof can't be expected to work miracles in two weeks but he has given the players a clear structure and is picking the team on form, not reputation. Bring it on!

he was going to play regardless, why would you pick a 35yo to run drinks
