Does it pick up well? Doesn't look too bottom heavy...

Slightly off topic, but was there an issue with Kippax handles??
A couple of guys at my club had the older ones (with the dragon branding that I prefer to the new stuff) and the handles both went. Was this a common fault (and if so has it been resolved) or were both just unfortunate??

I had one for a couple of years and had no issues - its been lightened and sold onto a team mate who notched up 1000 runs for the season so no problems there! Guess its just bad look as it happens.

I am interested to know what the wavex handles like but that's very off topic.

Looks huge - think the stickers wouldn't be too bad if they'd left it with the yellow stickers over the splice on front and back but the edge stickers hmmm not do sure! ???

I bought the bat in 2012 with the dragon logo, but took it in last week for a "service". I though £40 was a bit over the top, but I'm amazed how it looks now - like a brand new bat!

It picks up very nice, it did feel heavy at first, but not over the top.  I spent 3 weeks using it one handed in the back garden (doing drives and defensive shots) to strengthen my forearms and wrists.  In the early season, my wrists and fore arms ache badly, and I cant bat for more than 20 mins in the nets, but I was netting last night, and did two 20 min sessions no worries. I do play differently with it than my last bat (2.13) which has helped my game, all I need to do is get the bat in the way, so drives I swing slower, with more control, almost a cross between a drive and defensive shot and the ball flies off for 4.

It is too heavy to cut, but I used to get caught out cutting all the time- so it suits me!  The middle is fantastic, I've had many fours off defensive shots!  When I hit it in the sweet spot, I can't even feel it, its as if I've hit a tennis ball.

Regarding the stickers, if you go and see them at the factory, they will gladly take stickers off, or put the other stickers on if you want.   I LOVE the colossus stickers, they really suit the spirit of the bat, and how I play, I'd love to be a technically correct touch player, but no matter how hard I try, after 2/3 overs I'm aiming for the sight screen! - with this beast I never hit, I clear the screen!

The best thing about Kippax is visiting the shop/workshop, you have a choice of 50 ish pre made bats, or can choose your own cleft from 1000s!  Genuine advice, with no BS marketing tricks goes down a treat too.

When you use big bats like that, you don't really feel the ones you've middled! I made a 3'2" bat for one of my team mates a couple of years ago. I'll try and get some photos of it as it's due a service.
