Hi
Got some adidas pads.there nearly two seasons old. They fit well, comfy easy to move. offer decent protection, and have lasted well.
Well the pads then shelve have, look barely used, the Velcro on the otherhand is on its last legs. And have started to come undone mid innings.
Tried to clean the crap out of the hook side, and have roughed the other side up a tad,but still no look.
Other than new pads, or replace new Velcro with my sewing skills, are there any other ways to breath a little life back into the velcro?
Cheers
P.s bring back buckles!

Unfortunately , there is not much you can do. Try using a hairdryer to shrink back the fluffy bits. There are hook and loop with sticker backing but unsure if it is good enough. Sewing new hook and loop is the best option. My favourite gloves are in a similar state.

Will attempt the hair dryer later.
But if that not work it will be new pads time. As sewing in new Velcro is far too much hassle.
It's a shame as I like this pads, but as per usual, the manufacturers no longer sell something I've found to like.

Safety Pins/Nappy Pins. That's what you need. One in the pad where you want it held closed and one to stop the strap flapping.
