Hawk do not make Broads bats exclusively trust me on that one I can not say who does because it would not be right but I have seen his Adidas bat which was a sareen and I saw his copies and the stickers ready to be applied his bats are heavy and longer bladed

Whilst I was there I also saw a few Pakistan players bats being made up seems they quite popular

Not surrprised lol as he's what 6'7"? I should really try to get used to a long blade bat.... maybe next time! And you can't say that he gets them
made at the same place I do, when we all know you're a b3 nut! You're a dirty rotten tease Dave lol! ;)

I'm in the same situation as procricket. Know who makes them but sworn to secrecy.

LAst time I was in his, and another england players were that there waiting for collection.

Broad also has his handle angled forward to exaggerate the bow so to speak.

Hmm
Hawk say different
They showed me the bats destined for him and two he had rejected because the edges were too small, they then showed me the cupboard full of Adidas stickers.

Guess a few people must make for him!

The guys from B3 came down to our 6 a side competition last week. They were quite open about making bats for a certain England player (brought a stickered up bat - was ridiculous size for its weight), but they didnt allude to making any other internationals bats when asked.

I take a lot of what I hear with a pinch mate! M&H and Laver made most of the bats every pro was using in the 90's, so I understand.

Talking of Milly, my mate went down today, came back £700 lighter. I am seeing his new Master tomorrow. I'll take some pics and pop it up on here. In fact I'll try get some pics of all the lads bats in one and get some feedback and give you all some opinions on them, given I have tapped them all up

Wasn't knocking your information bud, not in the slightest. Just saying you head a lot of rumours on here.

Never understood why Hawk are not thought more of, and are not considered to be as good. Lots of them round Shropshire, and never seen a rubbish one.

Sounds like Broad is the new Sachin, with everyone claiming to make his blades.

Ultimately, i think players try/use an awful lot of bats from various sources. Of course that manufacturer (if they want to) will then claim they make bats for said player, even if said player only picked up a couple of bats to take and try in nets when they visited.

Some internationals are kit badgers just like us, so it would be silly to assume that they only stick to one manufacturer when there will be a plethora of bat makers offering to supply bats to them.

Title: Re: Broads bat

He should have walked, yes. However Clarke should have walked in 2010. It happens, and as Strauss said earlier on Sky, that's just the game now.

Gilly was the only walker in a field of standers. Doesn't make it right, just seems acceptable in some circles.

For me personally, did take the shine off today, as when I watched them walk off, instead of looking at the scorecard and thinking bosh, we've got the buggers on the ropes, I felt Broad should be gone and we would possibly be 8/9 down.

Still, it all works itself out in the end. Never liked him anyway to be honest. Over rated.....

I digress...nice bats though ;)

just because one person/team cheats (or doesn't play in the right spirit) doesn't mean everyone else has to do it. I know at lot of people only care about winning but what impression does it give to us mere mortals.. or the youngsters.. If you play hard, play fair and in the right spirit then more people will also do it as 'it's what you do'.. currently we seem to be heading down the wrong path towards people basically screwing each other over

And me. When I was there a couple of weeks ago they had raw clefts set aside for Broad which they were showing a young visitor to the shop.

The umpire has a job to do let him do it.

That's Ian Chappell theory and mine had too many bad uns

As with broads bats I have seen a actual bat of his was a sareen.

But as people allude too be could and will use many different makers

Just going with what a lot have already said here, as I was choosing my bat at Hawk, he did bring out Broad's bat ready and waiting for him to pick it and have Adidas pay the bill. There would be no reason why he would lie. But I get that players can source bats from lots of places. But Broad did have 6 from Hawk.

I used to make bats for Tendulkar....

I love how people claim to make bats for player x. Or maker x makes bats for player x and no-one can say they do but everyone thinks they know who makes for who.

The day I see proof that B3 makes for Trott, Broad and whoever else or Hawk or whoever will be the day I believe it... Talk is always cheap...

Please let everyone know I make for Sachin though

With all the technology available to the umpires these days, a howler like that should never get through. The third umpire should have stepped in as the decision was sooooo bad! It's not Broads job to do the umpiring and when we are talking about careers that earn these guys millions of moneys, I wouldn't walk either! I'm an Aussie, by the way...

Watching the game on Foxtel and Michael Holding made an interesting comment that if Ramdin got banned for two games due to unsportsmanlike conduct, why shouldn't Broad. Not my opinion but quite interesting nonetheless...

Because umpire didn't give broad out yet ramdin claimed a catch when he knew he had shelled it.

Who's to say Broad knew he'd hit it?

Time to put it to bed and move on I'm afraid, Clarke reviewed his today despite knowing it had carried and been given!!!!! Will we see such a storm in a tea cup after that ??? I doubt it even with past history in tow.

Lets enjoy the series for what it is not focus on the failings of the umpires

Quite interesting listening to Vaughan on the radio yesterday. He said he walked after edging in his first game, got back to the dressing room to be told " you never walk, it's the umpires job to give you out" He never walked after as he said there times when you are given out when your not out so never walk. It's the umpires job to give you out. Tuffers agreed with him.

I heard what Vaughan said on the radio as well and I agree. In my opinion its what the umpires are there to do. I have no problem with batsman not walking and am not bothered about what Broad did because plenty of the Aussies stood there for their decisions. It only annoys me when I play if a batsman does nick it and and is given not out but then almost rubs it in by saying he nicked it, thats happened many times in games I have played. I have even seen batsman start to walk and realise the umpire is not going to give it so take a couple of steps back and carry on, thats also seriously annoying.

Defiantly right if all this about broad is happening, Haddin should of walked
