Was just wondering what grips are popular among pro's, and if possible any pictures of the grip shown in a game etc?
-
I think i saw Clarke using a chevron grip.
-
I know that Stefan piloet uses a chevron grip
-
Ah, I thought that the chevron would be a popular choice
-
I think bell uses a octopus, uses 2 though
-
Glenn Maxwell uses a scale
-
I think bell uses a octopus, uses 2 though
incorrect, bell uses a kookaburra max grip
-
Not to sound condescending, but why? A grip should be comfortable for the individual batter. Or is it just general interest?!
I'm hooked on these 'arc' grips at the minute, really like the feel of them in the hand.
-
i honestly dont think there is one preferencial grip that the pro world uses. itll be the same just as club level is, half the guys have the same grip that the bat was bought with, the more serious cricketers ay my club use what is comfortable and feels nice in the hands
-
i thought that this was a octopus .

saw him at the outside nets at edgbaston at the champions trophy and it definitely was an octopus grip mate
-
it is defiantly a octopus
-
That one in the linked photo above is a kookaburra max grip. Its octopus at the top and sort of spiral style, without spiralling, at the bottom.
EDIT:
On closer inspection it's not actually... It is an octopus.

Bell does like using an octopus. Gotta wonder about his conversations with Kookaburra... "belly, got the new menace range for you." "great let's see the bat. Er, may stick to my custom made if that's ok?" "no prob, here are the gloves." "hmm, may go with my sausage fingers rather than these ski gloves." "ok, what about a kook helmet?" "not bad, but prefer my masuri.." "man alive, the pads?" "aha! The pads i like!"
haddin uses a snake grip on his bubble...
-
Whatever you offer them typically, as long as they don't have to pay for them they are more than happy :)

That has a got to be a good conversation

With the gloves I don't know what they were expecting. He was never going to wear those mittens!
-
Where they good sellers in the end ?
-
I'm almost a pro and I use spiral grips :-[
-
ponting was using a scale grip I think
-

I've only ever seen one player wearing them and that was a guy who played against us last week. Can't imagine they've sold well, but I admire Kook's originality.
KP uses a chevron grip, Cook the standard 'half moon' and Trott a chevron (I think)...
