Apologies!! Haha had a bit on.

Well received this today. Crazy buying more bats when I'm trying to offload! But have a distinction so wanted to add a tempo to the kit bag, and have wanted to try H4L for a long time.

This bad boy is mahoosive - it comes in at 2'13 but picks up really well. Rebound feels top knotch, first time I have actually been keen to knock a bat in I can't wait to use it in anger. Just wanted to give a shout to Matt at H4L - he is onto a winner here with these and the finish is excellent. And a massive shout out to Paul at IJC - I asked him to let me know if he picked up a gun Tempo and he was onto me straight away. Have purchased through him before and will do so again - first class service from him.

Here are a few photos - also wanted to note that there is less scalloping on the H4L which I prefer. Enjoy!

Cripes, even the toe's got a middle!

What grade is the 'pro' then? (and don't say pro-grade! I mean in 1-4...)

I love this shape so much. What's the lowest weight for a Tempo?

Fairly certain the lowest weight is 2'10.

Pro being grade 1 buddy - and yes it is well equipped all over! I thought my joker was a big piece of timber...

A really nice looking bat, if it goes as well as it looks you should be very happy!

Thanks for the review, Brad - glad you like the bat!

Yes, 2.10 is apparently the lightest they come in, although when I was there, I didn't see anything below 2.13.  I will wait until Matt has more Tempo clefts in before picking some more.  It would be amazing to get some of these in 2.10!

It is massive. Going to take the plunge this season and try using heavier bats. This and the M&H will be in my kit bag - just not sure which to use they are both lovely but think the h4l will edge it out due to less concaving.

That is MASSIVE!!! I think I might be going down with an 'injury' if I saw that come in whilst I was bowling!

What size do the edges come in at and out of intrest, how much does a whole tree with a grip cost?

I shall take some measurements tonight for those who like that sort of info! As I'm in Aussie land this was 233 notes GBP - don't have to pay Vat.

Haha - whole tree with a grip I like it!

NSW at the moment - probably back to QLD soon. Are you in OZ or NZ mate?

was it worth the taking off vat and the adding on for shipping

Yeah I think so. The amount you save with vat pretty much covers the price for postage

I'm in NZ, the bat you have is pretty much what I would go for, I have a H4L Hellfire labeled up as a Tempo which feels fantastic but would like something a little bigger.

Comparing you  two bats the H4L looks a little more bottom heavy, the pick up would be my only real concern.

They pick up very well because of the high spine, Mine does not feel bottom heavy at all.

It more than covers it, Brad!  :) I checked the invoice again.  You saved £46.66 on VAT and shipping was £35, so overall you still saved £11.66.

Anyone from outside of the EU can benefit from the same savings when they buy top end bats from us!  :)

As for the pick-up, I agree, it's nicely balanced.  Maybe not quite as light as the HellFire, but definitely lighter than the Hattori for me...

Paul, what weight was the HellFire that you are comparing it to.

Yes I was surprised at how well it picks up. Of course I haven't had a net with it yet or anything but am pretty confident of it being fine - id say the ones coming it at 2'10 would be much like a regular bat.

Ah thanks for that Paul - yep definately worth it which is why I'll continue to buy top bats from you! I still haven't had a good run with the newbery - unfortunately with this in the kit bag now it will have to sit on the sidelines.

Paul, what weight was the HellFire that you are comparing it to.

The 2.10 HellFire Grade 1 that we still have in stock (video review due up shortly) feels about an ounce and a half lighter than it is for me.  The Tempo felt about half an ounce lighter than it is to me.  All very personal though, this.  Not everyone agrees with me...

Jenko, any chance of some measurements so I can get a real feel of the size and distribution of this.

PS condolences on the cricket, if you need any advice on how tp cope let me know although I can't offer too much on how to deal with the hero to zero you guys have got going at the moment but for consistent crappiness I've got plenty :)

I actually think the price of the Tempo is part of the dream! Incredible value for money in my eyes.  Especially compared to other similar shaped bats on the market...

Cool, doubt you'll ever find a Tempo on "sale" price though! No matter what the time of year!
