Everyone seemed to enjoy my effort to prevent a boundary earlier in the season.  Chasing the ball to the boundary at full pelt, put in the big dive to flick the ball back and ended up in the hedge on the other side of the boundary.   :-[

No, didn't even stop it, all that embarrassment and ridicule for nothing!  Come the end of the season that will get remembered but my one handed diving slip catch on Saturday won't!

Best figures: 7 overs 5 maidens 2 wickets for 8 runs
Worst figures: 10 overs 0 maidens 1 wicket for 61 runs

Biggest fail: shattering the end of my finger last Saturday so medically advised not to play, didn't even get the run out so it wasn't worth my effort :(

Funniest moment: dog stealing match ball and the team psyco going to retreive it, it looked like he was going to run and kick the dog Leigh Halfpenny style, but turned and ran away (without gettin the ball back) when the dog growled

Proudest moment: Taking my first and 2nd wicket for the 1st XI off the last 2 balls I bowled for them, been in the 2nd XI since but still happy to be playing at that level

diammmnnn lol nicee!!

FROS23  here you go

best figures 10 overs 3 wickets 2 maidens 6 runs
worst  7 overs 0 wickets 0 maidens 40 runs

biggest fail:  tearing my muslce in dubai in feb in 3 places with essex u19 which made me miss first tour of the season and have a real bad start to the season

funniest moment: one of my team mates being attacked by a teckle which was about the hight of her ankles and she ran and ran for it! lol

proudest moment was yesterday: vs schotland bowled 10 overs 0 wickets 1 maiden and 34 runs against they needed a run rate of 10 an over!
my coach gave me a special mention and told me he was dead proud of me and i worked really hard to get back from my injuries. after 3 months of muscle rehab, being unfit, having a real bad season so far and not felt comfertable  and being told 6 weeks ago i might lose my place in the squad besides if i work hard enough to get back at everybody elses level. which i did and got noticed.. :D still real happy about that!

The dog incident reminded me of some years ago when one of our players bought his Doberman to a game. It was pretty well behaved, but the one time the ball did come its way it took its chance - and ATE IT! Gods honest truth. Bit difficult to get a replacement ball in the same state as the old one!

Played my one and only game of the season for our two's on Saturday.

Played on first ball..

Took 1 for 28 off 10. Dropped a tough caught and bowled chance.

Its fair to say that moving is a little painfull

Best game so far was scored 111 in an opening stand of 186. Then took three catches and 2 stumping s in there innings.

Worst was this weekend where I scored less than 25 in 2 innings and dropped 2 behind the stumps. Both diving but would have expected and was indeed expected to catch them.

Funniest moment was our 1st team captain getting smashed for 30 in an over by a 15 year old. Then getting chirped at the end of the over.

Or you missed a zero off the 6.

Well my season, average with the bat is 23, which is higher than last years 6. So improving. Played my first sat 3's game (normally play Sunday), came in at 7 with 30 needed, a couple of straight 4's (on the floor which is new to me) and some running between the wickets with the other batsman on 50+ and the chase was complete.

Strange thing was, that this is the only time I have been fully relaxed at the crease, even though it was a short period.

best figures of the season today and new high score, got 113 not out and retired because of the heat( and to let somone else come in and slog for the last 10 )
then 2 wickets for 6 of 5

Best figures: 5.5-0-34-3 bowling rubbish.
Worst figures: 3-0-26-0 despite bowling well.
Best catch: Diving catch at 1st slip

Funniest moments: Getting loads from one of the oppo after edging one early, continously remarking about the edges of my bat and asking if I had middled one, even in the 190's saying if I knew where the middle was. He came into bat, me bowling my leggies, him not getting near them, then he decides to come down the wicket and misses it again, stumped easily. As he walks of I told him I may have edged a few but at least I got bat on it.

Proudest moments: Beating our club record score of 177

My 12 year old played for the clubs under 16's on Thursday looked comfortable when batting and finished on 10th not out. taking his run total for the season to 722 at an average in the 40's
