Title: SS/TON Bats
Post by: imperivm on July 23, 2013, 09:55:41 PM
Has anyone got one of these? I'm especially interested to hear about the 2013 bats.

SS / TON bats are not currently available due to the reason in the topic above.

The rebrand to Sareen TON has been finalised and I think some bigger retailers may even have some new stock, I'm hoping for our stuff to be replaced soon.

Is that just for the UK (EU) market or is that for India as well?

The ruling only applies in the EU. I am not sure if Sareen will still push their SS branding in other regions.

Has anyone got any pictures? That would make things more interesting.

I have one limited edition 2.12 and the balance/pickup is second to none for the weight. The middle responds really well. Not broken in fully yet as weight is a tad heavy for me. It has 2013 SS pimpled stickers. I can post some pics for you but since it is also up for sale I am not sure if the admins will be happy with me posting pics here.
If you want to know anything specific then let me know.

Where did you get it from? Wonder if they have had the same issues as Vitas?

I had a Matrix (sold it to my dad as he loved it so much) which has fairly chunky edges, but the middle really goes some too. Quite impressed with it actually...

That's a model not available in the UK so i suspect has been purchased in India.

I would go for unstickered Ton bats as the stickers are heavier than standard. No stickers means more wood for the given weight.

I play with someone from Lorimers neck of the woods and he has a couple of Lorimers bats. Seem to go well but sound "hard".
