Just seen a few photographs of the Gray Nicolls Nemesis
It strikes me as a ridiculous looking bat!
is there any proof that the design is beneficial?
was hoping a few of the sponsors on here may know more?
also, would any of you guys consider making such a bat?

Brick Top: Do you know what "nemesis" means? A righteous infliction of retribution manifested by an appropriate agent. Personified in this case by an 'orrible ...unt... me.

hahahaha :D made me chuckle that did. Any thoughts on the bat?

Sorry there is a bat.
Its a gimmick, will sell a few. Reminds me a bit of mongoose which the longest handle ever. People will buy it, but I dont think you will see it week in week out on a sat.
-
It will be aimed at t20. Weight and middle low down to give/help bat speed through the ball.
And I huge are behind that once you connect.
But they've given it you in a full length blade, so can be used in the longer formats if you so wish.
Plenty make t20 style bats. Infinity toro, lenka big hitter, black cats joker. Laver and wood make several t20 style bats.
Many offer the long handle short blade option.
They are a slight gimmick and will never sell as many as the traditional profiles. But where would we be if there wasn't a bit of experiment, and artistic freedom. Well we'd all still be using plain traditional style bats.
Ps, I love my mongoose mmi3! Bought in 2009 still sued and still going strong!

If you think about it, it's kind of like a Mongoose with a thin bit of wood higher up to allow decent defence.

It's like a mongoose but for people who don't want the sledging that comes with a mmi3! with all the wood taken out at the top I can imagine it going that well out of that area

I thought by the pictures Gray nicholl's sent out that James Taylor is going to use it as his proper out and out bat, I prefer the Powerspot myself but i'm a traditionalist so i would

Looks as good as the edge ;)
-
It's something different, I'm sure that it will sell quite well if they get it out there. I hope for their sake it won't be like that old T20 double sided bat that brought out a few years back! I personally don't mind it, all depends on what price range it will be in but I do like the look of the Powerspot!
-
No doubt it will be expensive! they must be paying taylor a fair bit a year to use it!
I'm guessing it will be around £350-400???

Similar to L&W offering, the exact name of the model escapes me, but comparisions to Mongoose and negative comments can be countered by comparisions to L&W and to some extent the Zona from GM. More wood in the lower half of the bat is target and seems like it is achieved.

L&W Ultra?

L&W Ultra?
Yeah thats it, just a different way of taking wood off. I think if you look at SS Turbo and DF bats from old days they were all trying to do the same just different shape. So if people don't like the shape its one thing but this "Gimmick" has been around a while.
-
Well I rather like it...

You mean the Magnum maybe? Shame they aren't widely used any more, given the top players that used their gear they crop up in a lot of old photos.

I'm with you Timbo - i absolutely love it, and I want one now - whether it's the GN or one of Lekkas / AM's dodgy knock-offs!
This is the stick of a 'proper batsman'!
Anyone got any price info yet?
