I've got a pair of kookaburra ricochet 750 gloves..
they have been fine up untill the last 2-3 games.
they half a calf skin palm when i get sweaty hands instead of it soaking it up or wat ever its just wet straight away and my bat slips in my hand.
ive only had the gloves since dec and maybe played 20-30 games.
they have no holes or anything they are not even warn just when they get wet they are slippery

Mine tend to last a while, had a pair of Vulcan ones which I used for games and nets since mid last year, and now use them as net gloves. Not noticed the bat slipping in my hands with them, maybe it's the palm material? Mine are pittards, and ever since the Vulcans, I have never really felt comfortable in calf skin leather gloves. :-[ I find the palms get a little moisture absorbed in them, but never much to feel like my hands are soaking.

My team mate lightly sandpapers the palm's of his gloves when they get a bit shiny, works well

If you cam afford to Its best to buy two pairs of gloves and rotate them, you get a lot longer life out of them
-
3 months at best mine
-
30 games sounds about right if you have really sweaty hands. Inners will save you a fortune on new gloves, or buy a couple of new pairs and keep rotating them as GarrettJ says.
-
Mine never wear out, I just buy new ones. If I used one pair then they'd probably last 3 or 4 seasons at 35+ games a year. I just don't sweat at all.
-
I'll bring out the vulcans :)
-
It depends if you are wearing inners or not. Mine get too sweaty and then the material breaks but ive started using inners!

spot on.
I have 4 pairs myself but then I net loads etc but do just rotate them. Hopefully meaning they will last till march 2014

I usually have 2-3 pairs of gloves at a time.
I always use the newest pair in games only to begin with as they're the 'best' and 'special' pair but after a while I just rotate them and sometime it's just whatever pair I grab out of the bag...
In terms of use I usually go through two/three pairs a season but I do play at least twice a week and net at least once a week, I sweat a lot so that may explain the number of gloves I go through a season...
-
depends on how much they get used you all old run machine simmy . my old match kit becomes my net kit so keeps all my match kit in better shape but i do use my match pads gloves in nets for frist few session just so it feels right
-
I am on my 2nd set of gloves of the season and same as you Simmy calf palms I personally don't think last much more then half a season after winter nets etc.
Pittard palm gloves normally last me a full season though.
-
Mine last for ages but that's cos I dont bat long enough lol
-
Normally gloves last for half a season if you have a good season before they lose grip depending on how you bat and what grip you use
-
Inners are your best bet as long as it doesn't affect how you grip the bat
-
Mine last about 10 decent innings I can't wear inners I like to feel the bat
-
well usually i just chuck my kit in my bag after a game and just leave them so im guessing there all still damp so yesterday i took them out and put them in the sun to try. so fingers corssed they might be ok today if not ive got my vulcans at the ready.. if i bat long enough

Don't think you put your gloves in direct sunlight as it can tend to get the leather on the palms a bit hard. Look for a cool spot outdoors, this should do the trick...
PS. I got two seasons out of mine using this process...

That depends on what type of inners you use. For batting use fingerless inners as you can still feel the bat

Wow! You're a cricket retailers dream. I'd be gutted if I didn't 3 seasons out of a pair. Only replaced my last pair as the leather palms were beginning to hum a bit.
-
Generally my gloves last 2 seasons
But one set did a few nets and 4games. Took them back and had them replaced. The new pair have lasted a season since.
