Title: New RS bats
Post by: coolcucumber_1 on July 26, 2013, 11:26:19 PM
Have received a few RS bats and thought i would do a review over here.
Didnt realize how big of a brand they were till posting the picture of their batting gloves ;-)

4 bats were received i.e Blaster, blaster Executive and Limited Edition as part of my order and the two Blaster execs vary only in weight.
As soon as opening the package fell in love with the L.E , great shape and profile with no concaving whatsoever and still maintaing a great pickup and balance.
Pings awesome , i would say as good as the CA 10000. These seems to be pressed pretty well, initial bouncing of the old ball left no seam marks at all.
Edges around 38 mm and 10 straight grains with grade 1 English willow ...cant complain much .

The blaster executives had a mix reaction to them as the 2.9 picks up like dream but the 2.10 feels real bottom heavy.
Profile different form the LE with slight concaving  and not bowed as much as the L.E.
Ping wise again very good and comparable to the top end CA bats i have. Thick edges just like the L.E and 8-9 nice grains and G1 English willow.

The Blaster is the odd one here as it is the most softly pressed one. Pick up also felt very average and i guess that was the main difference between Grade 1 & grade 2 english willow. 7-8 grains with a few blemishes, unlike the other 2 ranges. Again thick edges with decent amount of concaving.

Overall very decent bats for the money and hopefully they perform great as well.

Look good, would you be able to take a width measurement of the bats? Just wondering if the company have made them slightly narrower to get them to appear bigger! I like the sound of the LE, always have time for big edged bats with no concaving. :D

I'm actually not too fussed about these stickers, I think they look alright!

I think bat shape wise . But Stickers also look at the new SG range and SF , some need to be worked on though .

The stickers aren't bad, It is just that they don't go all the way upto the shoulders

Good man ole Surrinder and produces some very good products from his factory, having visited him back in 04 when I was fresh out of Uni he produced some goods for us when we had a license agreement with CCC.

Had a couple of bats off him as well and they went well too.

Super good response so far , these seem very durable against the horrible quality white balls we play around here.
Have a few guys who play with these and swear by them, will see how things go.

Can't really see the difference in profiles properly. Any chance you could do some profile shots from side on to show the difference in shape?

There isn't much of a difference, just the concaving in the LE .
Profile wise they are pretty much the same.

RS used to do te Jumbo shape - it's still on their website I think. I can't believe no-ones picked up on them.

Wonder if anyone knows them well enough to ask if they could still do them?
