Title: Student Bat Budget
Post by: KPittman on July 31, 2013, 10:23:54 PM
Hi all forum peeps

I have been using my vantage limited edition all of this season and have already scored more runs with it than any other bat. That being said I am only 18 and I got it as a massive bargain with pads and a bat from Matt as a deal. The bat is finally starting to fade a bit and I am interested in purchasing a new bat, I was wondering what sort of bat I can get for maximum £180 to go and enjoy scoring some more runs.

Thanks!!!

any one of the forum sponsors, bar Laver would be able to make you an awesome stick for that price, personally I reccomend BlankBats, Red ink, Ryan, or Mad_abt_cricket.

Glad the bat scored you plenty of runs!

Let us know your specs and I'm sure people will offer you something lovely for that price.

Why not just get another Vantage?

Any of the forum sponsors would be able to sort you out for that price!

Few other brands seem to be knocking out great bats for fairly cheap although

Try Tlb, Neon, Vanquish bats, Reaper cricket, Select

Guy at my club has a bat from Vanquish bats for £145 and its a belter!

Havent seen any of the others, that aside... If you original bat is a beauty why change?

Where you based as i would say go to MSR,
3000 bats in stock and i'm sure you will find exactly what you want there,
I'm off there next week for a look and more than likely to purchase a stick.

One of my university team mates got a newbery gt which has a butterfly stain across the back, at a considerable discount (he said about £100 off), and it is just as good as a normal newbery. Apparently they have a "bin" of bats with cosmetic blemishes which are all discounted

Some pretty decent end of season sales will start soon from the big retailers but i second whats been said here by so many people, contact one of the forum sponsors and im sure they will find you a stick at that price
