Title: GM Shop experience?
Post by: Cowcorner on August 05, 2013, 10:44:32 PM
Having learnt the hard way that it is better to go and try a bat rather than buy it online I am planning on visiting the GM factory shop to have a look at some Octanes. I've looked up the address on the internet and it appears to be within a stones throw of Trent Bridge. I have a some questions as it's a bit of a drive:
Do you have to ring first or can you just "pop in" during sociable working hours?
Is there another GM branch in/near Notts or is the factory one the only one?
Is it a good visit?

My assumption is that if members of the public are allowed in, then they will charge the rrp for everything which makes them very expensive.

Don't Salix allow people in and they're hardly cheap? - yes, you definitely get what you pay for - but isn't there something to be had by going to the source for your bats?

If I was you I would go to either of those shops at the end of the season. Some very good deals historically in both shops.
