Do you think Carberry should be in the english one day set up, consistently scoring runs for hampshire
-
Without a shadow of a doubt. The man is class .
-
i agree mate, unreal talent
-
There are a number of batsmen with class!
But few are in the form of their lives - he deserved that ton!
-
absolutely, when someone is in form like that they surely have to be recognised
-
Yeah he should definitely be in the squad he's batted great all the way through the T20's!
-
He's batted superbly in all formats!
Shame someone in that form is being overlooked!
-
Each time Hampshire has been on Sky this season that I've watched, he has been absolutely wonderful. Runs, quick between the wickets and an excellent fielder. Has to be given a look in I think.
-
Age and his health hold him back I fear. Great that he's playing so well and very entertaining. anyway, I think domestic t20 is better than the international stuff by and large.
-
Gets my vote :)
-
haha i wonder why
-
Great knock, terrific player.it's not too late to pick him at 32.The serious illness he had and the year out might of been the time England were looking for a replacement for Strauss.
The best player ive seem to just get one test cap.
-
Better than Stuart Law?
-
Good point.I should of said best English player to have just one cap.
Stuart law was top class.what Australia would give to be able to pick him now.
Shows how good they were in the 90's
-
I was being cheeky, but Law was amazing to watch in one day stuff for Essex when I was a nipper. Carberry is a very good player in amazing form.
-
Strange how hes transformed from a class Fc batsmen sometimes missing out on our t20 team to our most successful t20 batsmen the last couple of seasons.
-
He's a class act and should be in the England ODI and T20 team. Not sure about Test side though. He wins games by himself and not many players do that. Who was the last English player that you could say that about? Lumb and Hales are just as destructive in T20's when on form but don't often win a game over 20 overs by themselves. Age is not important as he's still a brilliant fielder, known to be incredibly fit, so why couldn't he play for another 4,6,8 years. If he keeps scoring runs like this he will just force his way in anyway.

He in the England Lions squad for the games against bangladesh later this month
