Title: Teaching a player?
Post by: 123* on August 09, 2013, 10:47:26 AM
After watching Ali Cook batting and Nasser saying how he never transfers weight etc

What do you think is easier to teach, a fully back foot player to play off the front foot, or a fully front foot player to play off the back foot?

Going towards the ball is more natural than going back and away, so probably teaching players to go forward when they usually go back is easier.

In saying that though, back foot players tend to have lazy footwork so you could have your work cut out making them get a stride in.
