I have a cheap GM909 one that does the job in the (extremely rare) occaision I feel I need one.

If we're going for cheap ones the Adidas Pro is decent for a mere £9

I have an Aero P1 one, it does the job, and you can wash it! I think that Stretton Fox would be a slightly less bulky and probably a superior product, as it's more expensive and people rave about their protection, but I've never tried one.

The adidas ones are good enough. We have been waiting on the Mark Waugh profile L&W bat review as well :) .

I used to wear one but I found the opposing team would pitch the ball up to me more thinking I was afraid of the ball, so in a way I was inviting them to bowl there.
