My mate has a pair in OSM, they look good. He had to have the straps lengthened, though not sure whether that was just him or an issue with the pad. They look good, are apparently comfortable and if you can get a good price on them then it's always a bonus.

Cheers twelfers, 44.99 is a good price I think. Sports direct doing newbery clearance. Also need osm so good to pick them up when the sales are on because more and more sites (owzat etc) are starting to stock fewer lh softs.

Yeah I have had a look at the Newbery gear on SD. GT gloves interest me! My mate got his pair from Rematch Sports when they had loads of LH gear as clearance, not so sure they have any left though.

My team mate has a pair. They look very classy and are light. Only thing he said was the white coating has rubbed off where the knees rub together, but he's had them 2 seasons and plays a lot of cricket.

Youths size now down to £38 at Sports Direct. Seriously temped to get these as its a real bargain. I'm also very keen on the Salix pod players pads but they twice the price. Or do I wait for the sales to kick in and the new ranges to come out? Difficult choices, oh what to do!

You will be very lucky to find salix pod players pads on sale or should I say with much off them, Salix gear is hardly ever on sale as its so popular.

Don't you work for Salix? You sound like an Audi car dealer who couldn't possibly throw in any extras and wants you to feel lucky that you got seats included as standard!

I've been very pleased with my Salix kit http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=23078.0 (http://custombats.co.uk/cbforum/index.php?topic=23078.0) and would recommend them to anyone. Currently, small reductions can be found at Barrington Sports, as they are on 'Sale'. However, it's not much of the price I paid at the end of January.

Not an avid fan of sports direct, but you have to admit if you look hard enough you can find some quality gear for dirt cheap.
