Right so when I was 16 I got a pod 1 off a mate and I had to get the pads and gloves too. All 3 were by far the best kit I have ever used. The bat was literally UNBELIEVABLE and the pads and gloves the best I have ever used by far. Since then I've tried to find something as good going through 4 brands I can think of. In the end we always come back to one brand. Mine is salix.

So I got a praestania players off token from the for sale thread. It came today and I haven't had chance to use it yet, but off the mallet it is incredible. I've been knocking it in on and off all afternoon and the difference after just 3-4 hours knocking in and not even touching a ball is amazing. The pick up is literally the best I've ever felt. With 2 grips its 2.10 and it feels 2.7-2.8 and it's a reasonably big bat too. Ill let the pictures do the talking

I also rang Asad at Uzi sports the other day to see if he had any of last years pod one pads and gloves available like the website said. He confirmed on Tuesday that he had 1 pair of both left and I paid Wednesday and they had arrived Thursday with a free salix hybrid grip too. Asad really is a top bloke and I would bought my bat for him had it not been for the bargain I got on this one!

All 3 will be for next season mainly but I see it being incredibly difficult to not give them a run out before the end of this season! Just need a toe guard fitted on the bat.

Looks a beauty of a bat mate nice grains! Im just knocking in a new salix myself cant wait to use it. Might have to get salix softs aswell after seeing yours.

Must admit the grains on yours looks as good as any ive seen on an ajk including mine.

Any pictures of yours mate? I bet your ajk has about 14-16 grains though instead of 9-10?

Not sure yet dying to use it but dont want to rush the knocking in process. To be honest im a bit scared to use it, just like looking at it all shiny and new lol

I know and i think barringtons have got 20 per cent off at the moment, arrrgh! Dont need them, dont need them, dont need them........... Think i might get some.

Arm twisted! Ive gone a bit kit buying mad since joining the forum though and im sure the mrs thinks ive gone cookoo. I used to take the micky out of cricketers with all the gear no idea now i Am one of those cricketers!
