A mate in OZ has asked me to attempt to make him a copy of his old M&H he has broken recently....it's the one with the six dowel in the back....am I right in saying it was an Original??
-
Might've been the S6. I had the Puma equivalent here in Oz & reckon that rates as my best bat of all time, an absolute belter.
-
That might be the one bud, he rates it as his best ever also that's why he wants the same shape...I'll google S6
-
Definitely S6. Used to have one... You'll be able to find pictures on the forum,.
-
Ideal, cheers bud! Won't be as good as a real S6 no doubt but a good challenge for me.
-
Procricket has got my old one - I'm sure he could chuck some pics up
-
Ideal, cheers bud I will see if he can post some.....
Google search showed me that M&H have stopped making the S6, I guess that's why he wants me to attempt
-
How much does he want to pay and what grade?

There were some in the shop just without the dowelling in them! THey were essentially an original low with dowelling in it!

I had a Puma M&H Signature that had the 6 dowels. I think they were the first ones before the S6.
-
When you could buy the S6, you could also buy the solution. They were the same shape. The S6 used ash (i think) as lower density alternative to willow to improve pick up. That's what the dowels were for.

I've got that one dave had. I'll post some pictures this evening. Any specific angles?
-
What was the Puma bat with just 1 dowel near the bottom of the spine? I had that bat. Absolute cracker but its design obviously came with a weakness and it cracked along the edges of the dowel. Can't remember what model it was tho. All I remember is it was red and yellow.

Puma stealth had some weird holes in the back

Cheers Ryan
I had forgotten how much of a beast those bats were!

Not the Vendetta, a lot older than that. This is the best/only pic I can find. If you look on the pic you can see an oval sticker at the bottom which is where the doweling plug was, extending vertically up the bat.
If anybody knows what bat model this is I'd be very grateful.

The Solution or Original Low models are exactly the same shaped bat but without the dowel inserts. IIRC they had to stop inserting the dowels due to MCC laws.
