Was having a net tonight.
Due to living in a high rate vandalised area, our batting net is made to fit snugly in our compound, it's quite small.
Batting in full on t20 mode, I went to smash a leg side spinner, I felt the brush on the metal support. Looked down in horror to the wood sticking out. Am so gutted, want to cry

B3. Have offered to repair, as there nice like that, but I have a big quarter final sat, and it was going like a cannon. So time for me to get the glue out!

It did 4more sat games and 2 t20 matches at finals day. So is holding up well.
Has been retired to the spare room for winter though. I do not net with this bat. would rather extend its match life.
