I got one about 4 weeks ago and was not thinking it would be the best I thought it would off had a horrid grain sheet on it but much to my surprise it didn't the bat itself has 8 grains with a touch off heartwood down the outside edge for a right hander I got the bat mallet out and was pleasantly surprised off how well it went so in my opinion I now have a perfect wet weather bat as could not let myself use my beloved affinity carbine in the wet  :) and for a 100 pounds what's not to like

It's only the Tomahawk that has a grain sheet. Newbery 5*'s have always been value for money. My one is on its 4th year and still going strong. I paid £92 for it in a end of year sale.
