Beautiful Games: intricately etched cricket bats – in pictures
Prefab77 is a Newcastle-based art collective with a particularly keen sense of heritage. Inspired by a love of all things quintessentially English and lamentation at the fading of old institutions, their work frequently fuses punk iconography with patriotic themes. In this instance, a range of vintage cricket bats have been intricately defaced using a process of laser-etching. The phrase 'gangs, tribes and fraternities' adorns one of the bats – this, they say, is representative of the tribal instinct inherent in all groups, be they rebellious youths or proud English cricket fans.

Very clever and looks class.
I am keeping my old bats for when Zombies attack [Shaun of the Dead].
