Hey everyone, tonight I went to my cricket coaching facility, to get some bowling coaching. It came to my attention that the owner had some Sids products. So I went onto talking about them. anyway, he pulled out a bat, whch was meant to be a Monster. It had been broken during pressing and the face had actually been stuck back on, up near the splice. Is this acceptable?, especially with a sample bat, wouldnt you make sure the gear was the best of the best, before distributing it?.

Mate over the past 3 years i have heard nothing but bad things about SIDS.
Initially i gave them the benefit of doubt but i started hearing distressing stories about them ripping people off. Wouldnt surprise me if theyve sold that bat to the rep as a "Grade 1" and told him if he sells some of their bats they will give him compensation.
A friend of mine has been ripped off by them when ordering softs. They owe him over £500 and wont give it back. They are con men and to top it off.... Their kit is s*it!!
Ive heard stories of them sending out trade bats to business customers thar have been effected by fungus and they refuse refunds. They pass off grade 3 bats as Grade 1.
Stay away
Rant over

Their bats are like weird, they are too white ! Its like light is coming out of it, I asked them and they said we make bats out of white willow. Is white willow any such thing ?

in England, you get a lot of "pasty white willow" or "Caucasian willow", in the Mediteranean you get "tanned willow" and so on through the tan spectrum until you get to the "Caribbean willow" which is the darkest!
Seriously, the bat makers in Pakistan will quite often bleach the willow to make it look cleaner and to hide some minor imperfections etc. that's why Kookaburra advertise their bats as "unbleached".

I am surprised about this, as i know at least 3 or 4 peple who have purchased directly from them and received their order. How did you make payment? Cant you claim the money back if via paypal?

They usually give you some sort of BS about placing another order and they will send more kit to cover the compensation cost. Honestly, I cant tell you enough times, stay clear!
Wonder what Trading standards would make of their practice? is it possible to report a company that is not based in the UK but does business here?

Wow - that really is bad

Cashing in on Phil's death, pretty ordinary.

Much more disgraceful than Masuri's statement about the helmet.

Do you mean this one?

I thought it was a bit off at the time. It's a massive (No Swearing Please) covering statement, particularly after the Broad comments they made.
ps. Sorry to derail the topic, let's get back to SIDS.

read a comment last night on FB from a SIDS representative saying they were pulling all product and that it has been destroyed, which judging from the ebay link isnt the case.

Probably can't as it looks like a private seller with 4 feedback. He's probably thought he could cash in. He's on the right platform though, ebay don't care as long as they get their commission. Has anybody reported it yet?

Yes as forum member and cricket lover it appears in bad taste but I am sure people have cashed in on others misfortune before
