Hello Chaps, I've gotta buy a young chum a size 6 bat for his birthday, and I've got around £40 - £60 to spend.
Ideally I'd want it pre-prepared as he is a beginner, and also from a bigger brand as he will have seen them used on the telly.
I know nothing of this end of the market - any knowledgable suggestions please?

£40-£60 will probably get you something pretty decent. A main brand kashmir jobby will normally set you back £20-£30, so I think for upto £60 you can prob get quite a nice english willow bat - I would try the usual on line retailers, or a local shop.

csf are doing some kids sizes for 30-60 range.
GN Nitro was one of the brands i saw, via the regular csf emails
but it might be kashmir.. not sure

CA Plus 8000 is only £40, get him some Kicking Horse stickers for it and he'll look just like the pro's.

Haha Tom! - no, I think it's gotta be an England players brand unfortunately.

If you could strech to £68, you could either get a GM 808 (Catalyst/Purist), or a Woodworm, G2.
