Title: How many oil coats on back of the bat?
Post by: mini998 on September 08, 2013, 04:37:00 PM
Bought a Newbery Truxton 5 Star . It came with Hammer edge sheet as usual, so I can't apply any oil to the face.
Already applied a light coat of oil to the back of the bat and exposed areas(bit less than a tea spoon) . Is it enough?

I personally didn't actually oil my TT 5 star when I got it and it seems to be fine , but if you want to do it though then I'd have though 1 or 2 coats would probably do fine. If you've already put a teaspoon on I'd just leave it at that personally.
