Hi all,
1st time post from a longer term watcher. Apologies in advance if this is in the wrong place....
I picked up Ravi Bopara's used TON MaxPower via a recent charity ebay listing. Signed by the Champions Trophy squad. I live in Singapore so will only get my hands on this towards the end of the year. Picture below if anyone's interested:

Just a pity it wasn't signed on the back so you could use it... ;)
-
If it's one of his match bats I think I'd be sanding the signatures off and using it.
-
Looks all the be signed on a scuff sheet so maybe able to 'melt' this off with a hairdryer and still be able to use it while retaining the signatures!
-
how much did you manage to pick that up for?
-
will agree with kieron_bt....remove the scuff sheet. that way u still have all the signatures and still be able to use the bat...
-
Dunno about that, those scuff sheets are pretty difficult to remove in one piece from experience!

I wouldn't put a hairdryer anywhere near a cricket bat!

I read the title and instantly thought Shaq's Back...!

Why not?? It's the best way to get scuff sheets and stickers off ???

How else do you plan on getting scuff sheets and stickers off then?

I'm from Durham but yeah we know who you're on about but don't think it's fair to fully label people from Durham as rogues like that shaq mate

No, not yet. Looking like spending more than wanted to on a new pair off eBay.

Relieve to see a little bit of interest in my 1st post! My playing days are pretty much over so it will probably remain as a "collectable" with the scuff sheet / autographs intact. That is if I can keep my 10-year old away from it!
I picked it up for 130 pounds, alongside a signed/worn one day shirt for 80. I was pretty pleased with that....

Why 'oh dear'?
-
Your attitude to 'not putting a hair dryer anywhere near a bat' lol. How would you go about removing a scuff sheet lol?

The Durham / Shaq references didn't mean much to me when I first saw them in response to my post. It wasn't until I did a search on the forum and read a few threads that I realised I had been ripped off by this chancer myself at the end of 2011.
I won an ebay auction he was running for a Kevin Pietersen worn England helmet. His original listing was linked to an "old' Paypal address so he asked me to resend it to a different Paypal. Back then I didn't know as much about how PP works so I did, and of course ended up losing one of the PP payments I made him.
Over the course of several weeks (and many emails) he promised to send the helmet by courier, Royal Mail, among others, send a cheque to cover both payments, etc. Needless to say I saw neither! Also during this time he informed me that his dog died (which I saw he also posted on here,) as did his Dad and his car packed in. In the end I gave in for the sake of my sanity!
In those days his ebay ID was coopa11 and emails were coming from seargentharris@googlemail.com
So yes, I'll be very cautious of any attempts to contact me regarding a trade on this!
