To prevent getting hit use the bit of wood in you hand to hit the ball ;)

Unless they're pink, where removing them and replacing them with grey ones becomes compulsory! ;)

Post by: Twelfth Man on September 10, 2013, 01:38:06 PM: I'm exactly the same as butterfingerz. I'd recommend keeping them in for those cold, windy days. Nothing more irritating than it whistling in your ears as the bowler's about to bowl! I doubt it will minimize any protection level of your lid. Just make sure that your grille's in the right place and you'll be fine!
