here's one for the bat makers.
I had a weird and wonderful thought last night while munching away at a murgh tikka balti. How easy would it be to achieve the following..... A copy of my current bat.... But using an oversized cleft.... In other words I want my current bat shape replicating but a GIANT version of it :)
The science of it all would go straight over my Swede but I wouldn't want it heavier than what I'm currently using... 2.10
Not bothered about big edges etc as the bat has a traditional profile with shaping at the toe and a little at the spine.
Obviously I've seen the distinction and Tempo profiles ( getting a tempo shortly I think :) ) but that wouldn't be near the shape of my current bat.
Can anyone advise if this is a logical request, or am I just dreaming BIG

There's nothing to say it can't be done. If you can copy a bat profile down onto a heavier cleft making a smaller bat, you can copy it onto a lighter one making a bigger bat... Just takes a bit of skill from the batmaker.

it can be done, B3 design with the aid of CAD so any shape and design can be replicated.

What's your current bat shape? A profile pic would be helpful

I think you'll need a toe profile Liam, so the amount of concaving can be seen.

I like that bat, shame about the DVD's
What is the edge size and spine height?
Could you jsut ask rob pack if he can do it?

My bat is the traditional profile with the heartwood. I forgot how damn sexy it was when it was fresh from the bench. Enjoy

Yes of course I could but I want to try other bat makers as well. This winter I won't be having another BR as I have my LE to keep me busy. I want to use others and will be trialling a few over the off season.

Your current bat has pretty minimal con caving. If you want a bat from a really high spine, that would certainly require plenty of con-caving to bring the weight down anywhere close to 2.10.
Might look close to this:

That spine is mahoosive, ridiculously big there, not to my taste but that looks like a great job

Yeah this is why I wanted to ask of it was possible :) wanted to do it without all the concaving.
I'd just have bought a distinction if I wanted it like that lol.
