Hello chaps,
We are not ones for taking our foot off the pedal, so here is another great offer for the forum. As the season comes to end, it's time to start thinking about getting your trusted friend serviced, and then putting her to bed for the winter.
Full sanding, cleaning up, and refinish of your entire bat, including sealing of minor cracks, new grip & scuff sheet.
20 quid, including delivery back to you.
Jake
(Please contact me for a price on repairs to major damage/rehandles etc)

Just a little bump on this.

Would this include delivery back to Northern Ireland?
-
Norther Ireland, no problem. :)

That's a tuffy! Do I send it to Salix and get new stickers however it will cost around £67 with all the postage costs or do I send it to you guys and get it blank for around £30...what's the finishing like on your refurbs jake?
Glad this topic got posted in as i was just about to print if the refurb form!
Also what's the turnaround time jake?
-
The promotional price on refurbs is £20 over the winter mate, free postage. If it needs any work doing then it may go up a bit. I generally sort out minor damage in that price though.
Ask countycricketplayer about the finish. He was the guinea pig for a new technique i am using and got his bat back today, seems very pleased with it. :)
Not going to claim it is up there with Salix levels, but i am happy with the results.
Currently got a few bats in, all at various stages, should be clear by the time your bat would arrive, i would say 3-4 days for me to then get it back in the post out to you.

Oh right, but with postage there it would be around £30 which is very reasonable! Also do we get a choice of grip ;)?
I'll send him a pm and see jake, also there's a few marks on the back, do you generally get them out? Just I think it looks messy...dunno how they've come about as I always kept it in a lorimers padded bat cover!
Also turn around sounds very good, Salix would be 2 weeks!

Ah yes, sorry, wasn't factoring in your postage cost to get it here. Depends on how deep they are, but generally yes i'll try and even them out. countycricketplayer had some bad stripping of the willow on the back from a botched sticker removal i assume. I evened that out to almost unnoticeable levels.
Grip choice depends on what i have in at the time. Right now it's only snake/scale grips in various colours, and a few GM control grips in blue or white. More grips coming in as part of 2014 stock orders though. If people don't specify i generally whack a white snake on there as it is nice and neutral.

I recommend the PINK SNAKE GRIP! Super bright!

And a sure fire way to get a barrage of short pitched stuff! ;)

Ah really like spiral grips aswell :( nevermind though! The handles quite think so I normally use a thickish grip but I reckon a GM control grip would be pretty cool as I can swap them around as I've never used a control grip!
I'll give you a pm now as there's something else I'd like to take from you which was of interest quite a whole ago ;)
Cheers
Tony
