Title: Full leg side balls
Post by: Ben robinson on September 12, 2013, 08:16:36 PM
When I face a full leg side ball I seem to chip it in the air any tips on stopping this?

Wait for it, don't try to hit it too hard and not use too much bottom hand. Maybe look to hit it though mid-on, depending on the line.

Head position don't fall over and balance keep your balance and play at as late as possible

And a serious answer from me, as its already been said wait for the ball.
Just let it hit the bat and look to time it through square leg, or just help it behind square.
Or play straight in the V looking hit it straight past the bowler to mid on

Get your head and weight over the ball as you hit through the line - this just requires a fair bit of practice.

If you want to go over the top, that is fine too, but you must commit to the shot with everything.

This topic name was very misleading! I was expecting to see some large and oddly shaped testicles :(
