Title: Club fundraising ideas
Post by: WalkingWicket37 on September 18, 2013, 08:05:37 PM
Evening all

As it's the end of the season now is the time to think about club fundraising.
We have a golf day at the start of each year, and a dinner and dance and tour at the end.

It's been suggested we get a £70 bat and sell raffle tickets at a £1 each, rough money to the club £150

If anyone has any other ideas I'd love to hear them, hopefully we can get some decent fundraising done for the new season.

We did a sponsored bike ride from Bristol to Chepstow and back, raised around £700 from about 12 of us.

These are a few things we have done

Raffle- great if you can get something donated and maybe offer free advertising in the club house in return for example

Poker night
Quiz night
Golf days
Sponsored MVP at the club- supporters parents place £10 say on top average, run scorer etc for the season and winner gets % of total collected with rest going to the club

These have all worked well through my club in last 2 seasons.
