Title: Masuri Wicket keeping helmet
Post by: Krs on September 29, 2013, 05:12:04 PM
I have been looking at the sales and can get this for £34 delivered.  I just wanted to know people's opinions on this as a batting helmet.

That's all really lol

Works fine as a batting helmet.
At that price buy 2 or 3 so you have some spare ones. They're much better looking than the new atrocity Masuri has come out with.

Thanks guys!

Just realised I have a midget head so need to source a small.

The main reason I like the wk helmet is the short visor and it is a lot lighter than the standard one. Was looking at the Ayrtek but the current ones are on the heavy side, the new ones are 140g lighter but not out yet.

Also I just measured my head and I fall under the category of midget so need to source a blue one.

Also does anyone know if the helmet shell comes in different sizes or does the padding inside determine the size of the helmet (she'll is the same size for medium and small)

Yes, it comes in small mens, standard and large. I think we have all 3 in stock...

Hey Paul just checked your website, only standard listed.

What I actually meant in my above post is if the shell actually differs in size or are all helmets the same size but the amount of padding inside changes, ie: more padding means it's a small or less padding for large?

Yes, the shells are a different size.  I guess we must only have standard in then!

This helmet only comes in steel.

However use to the shape the helmet is considerable lighter than the standard batting one. About 700g

Brilliant, thank you.

I currently use an Aero P1 Titanium Face Mask but as I've heard they may stop making them and they are hard to get hold of/expensive, I want to make the transition.

Sports Direct Sale for £25 here I come!
