yeah they were on display at the trade show and saw them a few months back when they were showing Broady the range and sorting out his boots for the ashes.

the 2014 range in solar blue and white in colour and a few pics are in the lords trade show thread.

Just had a look at those spikes and they are certainly different! Blue is certainly the colour scheme for 2014 it seems.

The 2014 range looks really good with the new blue colour scheme. Prices have increased very slightly from this year but then so have the specs, so they still offer great value.

Stocks will be available from December with images coming through from Adidas within the next week or so.

had an up close look at this last week when he was having product photos done wearing all the kit, gloves and shoes are very comfortable, solar blue will be playing a big part in the 2014 range!

What does it say on the back of his bats??
Either my eyes are gone or it's not very easy to read  :-[

It's one of Broads sponsors, Malmaison Hotels.

How on earth does Broad need 5 bats, even for a batsmen thats probably 2 too many

Really?? I take at least that many to the nets with me!  ;)

Most pros have 3 bats at least, 1 for nets and a couple of match bats.

Couple are heavier options...mainly because he can :)

You're being far too sensible now!

dont get me wrong, I own 6 bats (only 6 :o) but i only over the course of the season used 3 of them, 2 lightly in nets.
5 for one tour and he's not even a batsmen, regardless of his 'allrounder' tag

Despite not being a top 5 bat they will still net daily meaning wear and tear on the bats.

If he was on tour in the UK he'd prob carry less but if one breaks in Oz them you don't want the hassle of having to source something that fits your profile/weight/sponsor whilst trying to concentrate on other things.

I'm sure a footballer takes more than 1 pair of boots to a game, studs/moulded/blades/spare pair etc :)

I take 3 pairs of boots to a football match :)

So 5 bats for a tour lasting several months is "too many" but 3 pairs of boots for a game that's only got 2 halves is acceptable. Struggling to see your logic mate  ;)

the variables, pack the bag the night before, will the ground be hard? soft? moulded studds, blades or proper studs, depends which are cleanest, if any of them are still wet from week before.

I dont NEED to take 3 pairs, my boot obsession is stronger than my bat obsession if i'm honest

Oh and I have a strong dislike towards Stuart Broad, hence why I even posted on the thread aha

He might have one for nets, one for warm up matches, one for tests, one for ODIs and one for T20's!
Not really variables but I tried haha

If I was an international cricketer and I had a sponsor the size of Adidas, and they came to me with five bats and said here use these and we'll pay you for it - I wouldn't say no either! I'd say five is a normal amount considering they're in fact away for five months apparently! How many of us go through or use five bats in a season on here as well?
