We offer FREE DELIVERY on all purchases. Stock is expected for a February delivery. Please note that some big retailers will have some pre-christmas stock. I have no idea on their pricing, we don't offer price matching but i'm confident we represent great value, especially when you factor in free delivery.
We require a 50% deposit and a decision on size to secure your pre-order. As an inidcation, i am a UK size 10 in Asics and Adidas cricket shoes. My Nike Lunar Dominates in a 10 are perfect.
You have until October 16th (my birthday) to send through your orders. :)
Please PM me to discuss.

Why will some "bigger" retailers get pre-christmas stock? Just because they are bigger and will order more

In a nutshell yes. They are visited first by the reps, and so they get their orders in first. As well as ordering more than we are likely to.
-
That's a bit rubbish
-
Way of the world i am afraid. I would expect to be looked after first if we ever got that big. I understand why the reps/companies do it though. The big retailers are their big paydays, so they want to secure that custom as early as possible.

Do you know what the main differences are between the new batting shoe and the current orange century II (except for colours)
Would be interested in the Lunar Potential as a nets shoe. I really do like the Dominate but just bought the Century II

Lunar Dominates ended winning the 'battle of the shoes' i had in my kitbag this Summer. Having never been a fan of either the feel, comfort, look or quality of the previous Nike shoes, the Dominates blew me away and sidelined the following shoes:
Asics Gel Adv 4
Asics 200 Not Out
Adidas SL22
The comfort is on a totally different level to anything i have experienced from a cricket shoe before. My clubs Aussie tried them for a game and said it was like batting with two clouds under his feet.

Hi Jake
Thanks for the info and prices much appreciated - as a comparitor will you stock the new balance?

Indeed we will, as well as Asics and Adidas. I haven't finalised pricing for those yet though.

How light are these In comparison to ASICS Gel Advanced 4s?

Very similar. Maybe ever so slightly heavier than the gel adv 4's but that's me being picky. I'll get some accurate weights ASAP.

I just got off the phone to my brother who is in Mumbai for work, he told the price of the Dominate is between £70-£75! Really shows you the price that Vitas are offering is pretty amazing! Oh and forgot to mention: YOU GET FREE DELIVERY TO!
Lol
-
That's the approx amount that my Dominates cost me when I imported them, I was lucky to get a weekend special offer for free international shipping, but I was still landed with import duty and a handling fee from the courier who paid the import duty on arrival into the UK. Which nudged the final price up to a fair bit more than the price we sell at.
Couple of pre-orders so far guys, these really are my favourite shoes for 2014.

If anyone was interested in the Nike Potential (rubber version) this is how they look like.

Cricket Direct already have their pricing up - they are on the expensive side.
Nike Potential - £55
Nike Dominate - £105
Nike Accelerate - £115
So I think it is a good idea to get your preorders in with Vitas.
-
Actually got a whole bunch of photos, if anyone is interested.

Some others have put their prices up to, but your still winning.
Will give you a call on Monday to Pre order the Dominates and Potential (I got to shy to ask about the bday offer - lol)
-
Just a little bump on this, 6 days until my birthday, which is the cutoff to be able to pre-order with a deposit. After that we will need the full amount. :)
-
Better looking than the asics and puma and cheaper than the asics.... Think I'll be having a pair of those next year
-
£45 - £55 is expensive for a synthetic-upper training shoe, do you not think?
-
A decent set of trainers cost that, and more sometimes. The support and soleplate required for cricket add to the costs, making these a decent price in my opinion.
We get a lot of people looking for a set of rubbers for £25-£35. They then moan that they aren't very good and fall apart after a season. Can't please everyone i suppose.
-
I don't want to sound like an old git, but why aren't cricket shoes made of leather anymore?

New Balance are, as are some of the Asics shoes.
It's a progression from what happened in football shortly before i stopped playing properly i suppose. I fully embraced the 'plastic' football boots in all their wild and whacky colours, but many did not. Hence the re-release and continued success of the Adidas Copa Mundial and World Cups, designs that fundamentally haven't changed much since the 70's.
-
i have the puma evo ones and kept wicket in them twice .... they split where the shoe creases when you squat. Reverted back to my asics with the mesh front to keep in and they are much comfier as well.
Those Dominate boots look very nice, think i'll get a pair. What is the confirmed price of them? Pro Direct have them at £105!!!!!

I have been thinking about getting something like these, but at the moment, I am not keen as I think they just look like the rubbish Nike Dart trainers... ???

£85, free delivery.
Cricket Direct are selling at rrp.

I've just paid a lot more than what Vitas are selling them for but wanted them this side of xmas as the missus is getting them for me as a xmas present. otherwise would have bought from Vitas without a doubt

Not sure it's progress!

Not sure it's progress!
Nor am i really. I prefer the feel of a leather football boot. I was seduced by the whacky colours the plastic ones offered.
I haven't really thought about it so much from a cricket perspective, i like leather because of the foot feel you can get on the ball, which obviously isn't needed in cricket. Are comfort levels affected? I am tempted to say no. Having road tested my Lunar Dominates for almost a full season now, they are head and shoulders above anything else i've worn. They have all but retired my Asics 200 Not Outs, which are leather.
-
A synthetic shoe is obviously much cheaper to make. How do they get away with charging the prices that they do?
I think we were talking about the rubber-soled shoe in particular, Mr Vitas.
-
Having sat in on a meeting Mr Broad had about his boots alot of the technology lies within the lower half of the boot, the mould costs arent cheap when you have to make them in every half size.
This i would imagine makes up the large % of the overall cost and as with all things in the cricket and sports market prices have gone up over the last 5 years. The synthetic materials will have a longer shelf life than the leather that once was used as well, leather can dry out and split which is less of a risk with the more modern materials being used now.

If we were to pre-order from you Vitas Cricket, would you offer a returns policy and an official written (or email) confirmation of our order?
I don't suspect the sizing to be an issue, like you stated in your OP, but if it turned out to be...

Like a lot of things in life, you are paying for the brand name i suppose. The majority of our rubber soled shoe sales are the price bracket down from this, £25-£35 from the likes of Kook, GM etc. These come with their own problems, quality of production, longevity etc.
I am not going to hold many Potentials in stock because their price doesn't suit our market.

You have return rights under the distance selling regulations. You can return the items to us for an exchange or refund if they don't suit within 7 days of receiving them. Like most retailers, we extend the 7 days the law states, to 14.
Of course, we always provide an order confirmation. :)
-
We have them in now at barringtons but at £105 and £115. Though I suspect the price will drop around christmas
So the vitas offer if your prepared to wait is a very good one!
Must say the shoes are very nice, I will be purchasing a pair very soon that's for sure!

I paid 99 (plus delivery) from owzat and they came yesterday. Love them just a shame they won't be used for a while

Today is the last day you can pre-order these shoes from us with a deposit.
After today they will be on general sale on our website and we will require the full amount.
I'm yet to see a better price on them which is surprising, I can't believe some retailers are selling these at rrp.

Sorry for not getting back to you. 3rd year is pretty intense.
Basically, I went with owzat purely because of the Christmas delivery. However, they now state that they will not be getting ANY lunar accelerates in size UK8 AT ALL. From what I gather this is Nike's decision not theirs.
I'm absolutely gutted!
If they won't be getting any accelerates in UK8 in stock who will?
Help please
Thanks, Dan

Hi Dan, not sure what's going on here as they are available in size 8. I am drafting out an order for these shoes now actually. I wasn't thinking of going as small as size 8 for a bowling boot (we generally stop at 9 for these), but could add one especially for you. Don't really want to hijack the thread though!
Perhaps Jake is also going to get some in size 8?
-
I definitely want the bowling boot (the accelerate) in UK8.
I have asked Owzat for a refund, so as soon as I get the money back I will be placing my order elsewhere. They do not have to come by Christmas

Out of politeness, I will wait for Jake to respond, if that is ok?

Sounds about right for owzat, if they don't stock it then it doesn't exist......
The Accelerates go down to a size 6. We have only ordered sizes 9 and above, but i am happy to add to our order for you.
