Hi Guys,
I saw Willostix's 2014 range for the first time today. Wasn't able to take many pics, but for those of you considering pre-orders, I have all the prices etc. so please do PM me. To whet the appetite, here is one of their new bats, the Lancaster, which is a biggie! :) Starting weight of 2.10, this one goes all the way up to 3lb. The decals are similar on all the Willostix bats for 2014, incidentally - the snakes have gone! :o

Spoke with Andy about these the other day and the new range sounds really good. Hoping to go and see them in the flesh soon down at their barn
-
I agree, Ian, the new range is really impressive. The new Spitfire softs, in particular, are really, really nice in my opinion - incredible value for money too! :)
-
Good shape.
-
Have you got any photos of the Spitfire softs Paul? Would love to see those!

Sorry, no photos - only prices and my memory to call upon! I think you'll be impressed, Vincent... :)
-
What weight is that bat in the picture?
40mm edge when it only has a 55m spine height isnt great.
-
looks very nice, very simplistic, hope the softs are the same.

It was actually a higher spine - the angle of the photo is deceptive! Think it was about 60mm. The bat weighed 2lb 10.4oz. It was just sample bat...
-
looks a beast
-
I don't know why he was being so coy Paul! BTW all my stuff fits in the bag a treat. Still plenty of room too, though it might be tight if I was a keeper.

So it's 'Snakes gone, a plane' is it? :D :D :D

That joke's almost as bad as the film itself!
-
I believe they are atill selling the stick and anaconda (which has the snakes)
I'll see if I can get pics of the softs
-
Are these Indian made Paul?

Incorrect! The Stick is now the Hurricane! The Anaconda is no more...
And yes, Matt, the Lancaster is Indian made...
-
I too would be interested in pics of the softs Ian.

Could have sworn I was told different but you saw them today so must have better knowledge than me!

This is a strong contender for where my deposit gets spent!!

Don't you have enough new bats already, Jon?! ;)
-
You can never have too many! I'd quite like a T20 bat as well!
-

I've never heard a retailer say some has too many bats before ;) :D
-
He should be saying 'the Lancaster would look better if you got a Spitfire to go with it!!' haha
-
In some ways it's a shame that the Anaconda has gone, they had a bit of a following. The ones I've seen in use performed very well. Ok, you need a decent batsman, but decent or not, to deposit the ball on the pavilion roof requires a good stick - and they seemed to last well too.
-
They should do a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight bundle... Spitfire, Hurricane & Lancaster :D Loving these Willostix designs, seriously.
-
When's the ME 109 coming out?
-
It's behind you :)
-
Look at that Fokker!
-
Looks a bomber. That was bad . But in all seriousness looks a nice bat profile wise , but also astatically looks appealing yet without being in your face.
-
Looks like a similar profile to the 2014 Spartan MC range, the way it tapers quickly off at the toe.
-

This one may well be but the Spitfire isnt, that is british made 100%
-

I was talking about the ranges not where they are made. The spitfire is as you say 100% uk made and believe that it will still be going forward
-
How much will these cost?
-
Paul @ IJC will probably be able to answer that for you :)
-
How much will these cost?
It's the mid range Willostix bat. We will sell them for £209.99. They are only available in 2.10+ (right up to 3lb)...
-
Have you finalised pricing of the rest of the range Paul?
-
Have you finalised pricing of the rest of the range Paul?
Yes, Ian - all the pricing has been decided. Just waiting for web images before adding everything to our website. But we can take pre-orders to forum members in the meantime...
-
Good looking bat and excellent branding :)
What's next, Hurricane or Mosquito ;)

Yes! :) To Hurricane at least (which is replacing the Stick - it's the same bat with different stickers). Mosquito for 2015 maybe?? :)
-
Will the Mosquito be made out of metal?
-
Will the Mosquito be made out of metal?
That would go against the grain.
I think the biggest piece of metal in one of those apart from the engines was the armoured shield behind the pilot. (Except for the bombs that is ).

Indeed, but all the rest are wooden bats named after metal aircraft, I presumed a Lillee-esq Mosquito was the logical choice ;)

Ahh! Now I get you :D
