I've been toying with the idea of having my Ayrtek refurbed for a couple of weeks now. I haven't been able to get down to Tb post office so thought I'd have a go at doing it myself. Although I'm happy with the finish and new colour I'd recommend sending it back to Tom.  It took me a hell of a lot longer than expected!

I can't seem to find a decent before picture but it was originally navy blue gloss with silver pin stripes.

During refurb, removing grill etc.

Preparation

First coat of new paint,  decided to go for a matt black look.

A couple of coats of black later.

Lining glued back in and grill back on.

Only thing left to do is add white pin stripes. Just need to source some  ;)

Great job!

I do love these helmets, however my tiny head makes sure I cannot :(

Told you it would look great pal. Matte black lid was always going to be a winner :)

Krs you have the same problem as me... Had a raw when thet were first released and loved it, just couldn't get my tiny peanut head to sit right without pumping up too much :(

Release will be in time for pre-Xmas present buying period and approx weights are all listed on the website for all 4 models :)
