As I've been annoying Tom for a few weeks about this it's about time I posted a review.
Here is my Ayrtek/Adidas (Adi)Raw in tinted green. Originally I got it without pinstripes (which looked top drawer) but I decided to contact Tom to get some. They arrived today and after a bit of a fiddle I got them on. They added a whole new dimension to the appearence of the lid and I can safely say it's the best bit of kit on the market.
Big thanks to Tom for his amazing service and always responding quickly.
Now the actual review.
Having use an Ayrtek Premier I picked up off eBay this season I was converted. I've used Albion & Masuri in the past, and they Ayrtek has the best visibility & comfort of the lot. As my premier was chipped I had to chose between a refurb or a new lid. I decided the Carbon Fibre was less likely to chip so emailed Tom.
When the box arrive I was amazed how light it felt. Eager to see my new lid I ripped the box open to find this beauty.

To improve the comfort I stuck some Velcro (bought from Tom naturally) to the front and put an Ayrtek sweat pad in. The helmet was now exactly the same inside as my original one.
I then decided I wanted pinstripes, which I put on today.

I put my old and new lid on the kitchen scales and the Raw is 200g lighter than the premier, which is noticeable when wearing he lid. Anyone after a new lid I cannot recommend an Ayrtek/Adidas highly enough. But one for the new season, you won't be disappointed :)

Looks spot on mate, I have the plain green the tinted raw looks really smart - thing you need to drop Wilkie a line and upgrade your soft pocket though! ;)
-
Pleasure dealing with u mate, all part of the service we try to offer!
Dab hand at fitting the pin stripes they are a pain in the (No Swearing Please) at times I can assure you haha.
-
Probably the finest looking helmet I have seen!
-
That does look sweet.
The cp on the back, do you offer that in the styles stuart broad has?
-
looks very nice. i went to buy one last year but my head is to large about 63cm to fit inside it just kinda sat on top. so i ended up with a puma.
really hope there was a xl large ayrtek/adidas is there anything in the pipeline tom?

We have upgraded the bags for the new range as they are now microfiber again complete with logo. I did ask Wilkie but he didn't have time to spend 40 hours a week making them sadly ;)

We could prob create something to be printed but would obviously come at a cost.

The PremierTek range goes upto 64cm without the foam pads in it so maybe worth a try as is has a thin layer of material in for sweat absorption still due to the finish around the rim.

Maybe its just me but I preferred it without the pin stripes but each to there own, goes look a good lid though, I'm sure if you ever need it to do what you paid for it to do it will do a great job.

To me they look great with or without pinstripes, it just added an extra dimension to the look with the solid yellow on carbon fibre.
Hopefully it will never happen, but if it is ever needed to protect my face or head, it will have more than justified the price.

I must say that these CF Ayrteks are gorgeous. If I ever felt I needed to start wearing a helmet, these would be my first port of call.
Looks stunning in the green. :D
-
Yeah the stripes look awesome actually, I'd be sorely tempted if I hadn't just bought my Masuri.

The green with pin stripes looks sweeeeettttttt!!!!!!!!!
-
That is a thing of beauty - absolutely stunning, with or without the pinstripes...
I'm a recent convert - picked up a Prem Titanium from Sports Direct after seking Tom's advice and I am very, very impressed. All reports about vision, weight, fit, comfort and balance are true...and clearly I don't have the best version on the market!
tell me more about the sweat pad you speak of? Where do I obtain said device??

Drop Tom a message and he'll sort you out with 1 (well 4 in the pack actually) and some Velcro.
I'd recommend investing in some glue as well (I used impact adhesive) as the Velcro is stronger than the glue on the back of it haha
