Title: Pro Direct Joke
Post by: WalkingWicket37 on October 10, 2013, 03:57:01 PM
Can anyone remember the deal Pro Direct had on GM Original batting gloves a few months back??
I've just had my dispatch notice after givin up hope of receiving them. Not sure if I should be pleased or not, seems like the service is a bit of a joke to me!

I remember you mentioning this when I had an issue about puma bats being out of stock.

I ended up phoning and having my order cancelled. As I didn't want to magically be charged in March when/if they got some new bats in.

Do you still need gloves? If they are good and a real bargain, I'd keep them anyway.  As it's a sale item, I doubt they'd offer you another discount cos of the troubles

Perhaps there was a far higher demand than anticipated and it's taken them that long to get the required stock in order? I can't say I had an issue with the bat I ordered from them, but then it was a main stock item, rather than a clearance deal.

Most times they will offer free shipping if they have messed up.

I don't really need them no, they were £30 for Originals (although I can remember someone saying they weren't the gloves pictured) so could be a bargain if they're the right gloves.
I'll probably keep them or sell them on here to avoid the hastle of sending them back and trying to get a refund to be honest.

As nick said The picture showed original le's. I received 4 pairs (ordered twice by mistake)of originals and sent them back for a refund. These were on sale at sports direct last week for £15.

Funny enough I received an out of stock notice today for some skins. I think I ordered 2 pairs in April and only 1 pair arrived.

Not as great a bargain now as they were at the time I ordered them then. Can't decide if I should send them back or just keep them. I love gloves but don't need another pair lol

I expect pro direct are clearing out there paperwork and have realised how many fuckups they've done. Either that or they have a new admin personnel

I bought them on the basis that the gloves I was going to receive, they turned up about 10 weeks after ordering them and were not the pictured gloves, they were the original gloves with leather palms but were very comfy and for £30 worth the money.
