Title: TON UK 2014
Post by: Vitas Cricket on October 14, 2013, 04:44:17 PM
Saw the new TON stuff at the trade show, but didn't get much time with the guys as the stand was rammed. We hosted them in store today to showcase their range. I did not take any pictures, but i imagine most of you will have seen the ones taken by others from the trade show.

Just thought i would open up a topic to discuss the new range. A lot of Sareen discussion on this forum is centred around stuff imported directly, which is all well and good, but doesn't allow some of the great products in the UK range to come to light as easily.

My particular favourites are the Max Power pads and gloves which will sell for approx £60 & £45 respectively. Real top end stuff at a great price. The Heritage pads and gloves were also very good and at ideal price points for us, they will sell for around £35 each, incredible.

I really like the new bat range, giving people a Gladiator or a Max Power in a more affordable grade is a great idea.

The big thing for me though is OVAL HANDLES ON ALL BATS! Great news. :)

For any keepers out there, the Max Power keeping glove is lovely. At approx £50 it is very good value compared to high end equivalents from other brands.

Great to hear about the oval handles. :D I've already done so well to narrow down my collection though, so I can't give in and order one now! :-[ Are there any different shapes, or are they all pretty similar? Would be nice if they did a shape with slightly smaller edges and less concaving, just to add some variety in with what they offer. :)

Looks like a really good range. Love the sticker on the bats, especially the blue ones. The whole range looks a lot more cohesive and modern.

In the first pic, what are the furthest away pads with the red label and the really plain gloves - also any ideas of price on them?

The furthest pads are the 2nd model down in the Max Power range. Not entirely sure on price but the most expensive pad has an rrp of 86 quid, which is cheaper than Grays, Kooks etc.

The glove is a Gladiator glove, one of the top two, again it won't break the bank compared to kit of equal quality from other manufacturers.

I'll post proper prices tomorrow Brucie baby.

So how would you differentiate between a slightly lower grade Gladiator compared to the heritage if the shapes are the same ?

Price. There were 8 different price points last year, this year there are 6, or 7 if you count the Kashmir Gladiator.

Going forward, the shapes will evolve too.

Hello Jakeus,

Is there a catalogue or website for these so that I can match all the products to your prices, and are these your prices or RRP?

I was enquring about the very plain Gladiator gloves and the stormtrooper Max Power pads.

The TON range looks very good, i was sceptical that the rebranding may not have the same appeal as SS, but tbh, i am impressed.

These are our prices, RRP is higher. :)

There will be a website with the range available to view online soon (2-3 weeks) i believe. I imagine we will have the products loaded onto our website around the same time. There is no catalogue, they aren't doing one as far as i am aware.

I believe the pads you are looking at are the Max Power Classic at £44
And i think you are referring to the Gladiator Players gloves at £45

Unless you meant the sausage finger Gladiator gloves in the bottom picture? Theses are the Supremes at £15.

Loving the pads - in particular, would like to know the prices of the junior versions of the pads in the first picture.

Also, no Sareen / TON gear is on your website. I'm very keen to order, but can't atm because of this.

Also, do you have any picture of the Max Power stuff?

Contact me via pm or email jake@vitascricket.co.uk to order if you are in desperate need. I am updating our website but it is slow going, i keep getting interrupted by pesky customers buying things or coming in for a net ;)

Just came across the TON UK website, and then their twitter account. I've always been impressed by their gear, and tempted by their softs for the coming season.

Got a question though after seeing the pic on twitter with Steven Croft's new gear. Are TON going to release cricket bags?

Only TON gear I see on stockists is bats and gloves, but not bags. Anyone know if anyone will be stocking them?

Still some nice looking gloves in the 2014 range. Very tempting!

Large mens, mens, youths and boys.

Nice set to be honest, the thick towel straps are very nice and the waistband is comfy.

Yes all pads and gloves are available in junior sizes, at slightly less cost than their adult counterparts.
